Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Announced Today!

Apple is taking pre-orders on their new operating system, 10.5 Leopard.
I pre-ordered mine today and they say it will be delivered Friday, October 26.....
Lots of new features and updates.

For the less experienced user, I would recommend waiting a little while to make sure all the bugs are worked out.
I'll let everyone know how the system works for me shortly after the 26th...

I received my copy of Leopard, 10.5 and installed it today.
There are a lot of fantastic new features to explore.
A couple of highlights is you can share your computer screen with someone else and even have them take over control of the remote computer.
You can even do this using iChat to show the person you are talking to how to do something.
Wow.... That is too cool....
A couple of minor glitches but everything else seems to be working just fine.
I will report later about other things I find.
I have installed Leopard on my external drive just in case. This way I can leave my internal drive just the way it was with Tiger...

Everything seems to be stable and working as it should.
A couple of problems I encountered.
1. iTunes updated my library but all of my music had an exclamation mark in from of it !
Had to find each song individually to fix it. Not everyone is having this problem and this is the first time it has happened to me. I only have a few hundred songs so it wasn't too bad but would not want to do it if I had 5,000 songs....
2. Repairing Disk Permissions using the Disk Utility takes forever, well, 5 to 10 minutes.
In Tiger, it took about a minute.
This Apple needs to address in 10.5.1
3. After going through all of the Preference Panes, went back to them later and "Sharing" Preference Pane was missing... Can't figure that one out. It was just gone...
Had to extract the Sharing Preference Pane from the OS X Install disc using Pacifist and reinstall it.
If I come across anything else I will post it here.

OK....
Leopard was running so smooth on my external Hard Drive that I decided to install Leopard on my Macbook.
The install went without a hitch. No problems whatsoever....
I finally figured out why the iTunes Music did not transfer properly on the external HD... It was because the new system was looking for the original location of the music which was on the internal Macbook HD... I did not have this problem when I installed Leopard on the internal drive of the Macbook as this was the original location for all the music.
Many other people are reporting installation problems on the Internet.
All I can tell you is I did not have one problem and everything work great.

Anyone here running Leopard yet?
Some of you had to get new Apple computers or Leopard for Christmas.
